"Vision of the Future" is a visionary piece that projects Cuban mysticism into tomorrow. In this work, Adrian Mas elevates his figurative narrative to an astral plane. The central figure is crowned by a monumental "Vision of the Future", chromatically fragmented to symbolize the multiplicity of vision. Featuring elements that evoke both ethereal jellyfish and organic technological structures, the work suggests an evolution where humanity and the cosmos merge in a dance of light and color against a backdrop of infinite darkness.
Artistic Details & Influences
_Avant-Garde Composition: Mas utilizes a palette of deep burgundy and violets to highlight electric yellows and neon greens, creating a sense of artificial yet vital luminescence.
_Legacy of the Masters: The influence of Amelia Peláez persists in the structural outlining, while the integration of multiple eyes at the figure's base—a representation of wisdom and vigilance—is a tribute to the spirituality of Wifredo Lam.
_The Cata Technique in the New Century: Under the influence of Héctor Cata, Mas achieves transparencies in the white forms that appear to float on the canvas, reclaiming the "explosion of light" from Havana’s stained-glass windows in a futuristic, spatial context.
